Dr. Kimberly Meyer Named President of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain
September 18 2025, Northwood, NH – The American Academy of Craniofacial Pain (AACP), the leading professional organization dedicated to advancing education, research, and clinical excellence in the treatment of craniofacial pain and sleep-related disorders, is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Kimberly Meyer, DDS, as its new President.
Dr. Meyer has been an active leader within the AACP for many years serving on the Board of Directors and Chair of the Membership Committee, contributing her expertise, vision, and commitment to improving the lives of patients affected by temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, craniofacial pain, and sleep-disordered breathing. Dr. Meyer is a Fellow in the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, and is triple board certified as a Diplomate through the American Board of Craniofacial Pain, the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine, and the American Board of Craniofacial Dental Sleep Medicine. As President of the AACP, she will guide the Academy in its mission to provide cutting-edge education and foster collaboration among healthcare professionals in dentistry, medicine, and related fields.
Dr. Meyer has witnessed the Academy’s impact in advancing the understanding and treatment of craniofacial pain and sleep disorders, and she is dedicated to continuing that momentum. In her new role, Dr. Meyer plans to focus on strengthening professional collaboration, expanding education, and ensuring that patients have access to the highest quality care.
Dr. Meyer is the owner and clinical director of the TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre of New Hampshire, where she and her team have spent a decade specializing in providing non-invasive therapies for TMJ disorders, facial pain, headaches, and sleep-related breathing issues. She is recognized for her dedication to patient-centered care and her leadership in advancing therapeutic approaches that improve quality of life. The AACP welcomes Dr. Meyer’s leadership and looks forward to the organization’s continued growth and impact under her presidency.

Dr. Meyer Becomes Empowered Relief Certified Instructor to Help Individuals Manage Pain and Stress
September 18 2025, Northwood, NH – Dr. Kimberly Meyer is proud to announce that she has completed the program to become a certified Empowered Relief instructor. Empowered Relief, a scientifically-backed program developed by Stanford University, offers individuals powerful tools to manage and reduce pain, stress, and emotional discomfort.
As an Empowered Relief instructor, Dr. Meyer is equipped with the knowledge and skills to guide individuals through the evidence-based techniques taught in the program, which are designed to help participants gain control over their pain and improve their overall well-being. The Empowered Relief program has been shown to be effective for a wide range of physical and emotional conditions, offering individuals a non-pharmacological alternative to pain management.
Empowered Relief teaches practical, accessible techniques such as deep breathing, mindfulness, and body awareness, all grounded in the latest research in pain science and psychology.
